Well I am over 45 and had over 20 years with Cisco and just found out I am being layed off. There was plenty of work in my group but that did not seem to matter. The product I supported is in high demand. Cisco is not the “best place to work” that it use to be. They have no loyalty to the people that helped make them great. I am so disappointed in the new direction the companies is going.
Truly sorry about your situation, @OgpGNO8-1Cpjs. This is what is especially maddening about the ongoing layoffs. There is no rhyme or reason to them. There are people who are obvious dead weight in the company, yet they remain untouched. In the meantime, long-term, experienced employees working on profitable projects are being shown the door.
