I am ready to take my skill sets and advanced degrees and hit the road. I love the science behind what we do but I can't stand the environment anymore. I AM ✅ done.

I see NXP offer has been extended to November 17. Is this good or bad news? There seem to be conflicting opinions on this.
Layoff for redundancy seems obvious to me. I wouldn’t panic I think we will get 60 day notice if this does happen.
Big layoffs if NXP acquisition closes. Press releases say QCOM to save $1B in deal synergies. Translation is lower payroll costs by firing people. Don't be fooled. There are few non-employee deal synergies....

I also heard many people planning to leave after the bonus is paid. This may or may not be true.
Everything will be ok. The company is going through growing pains. That’s all.
Attrition is at 90%
Anecdotally, I am hearing in the hallways and private conversations an enormous exodus of talent brewing after the RSU and bonuses are paid off next month or so.
It will be the motherhood of all attritions. They will not have to do any layoffs with or without NXP deal closing.
Unfortunately, the ones we need are precisely the ones on their way out to greener pastures.
The management just shrugs in arrogance and contempt. What a shame!

I hear ya bruh. I'm out once bonus is paid December 8. If no bonus then I'm out November 20 with the next RSU vests.
