Your time will come and the only thing your ambition and fine attitude will have got you is an ulcer. Watch your pension fund, wait you might not have one as you may been hired when they stopped that. At least you won't have to worry when they outsource it to a company that will loose it. Why are managers on a page called The Layoff? Makes you think. Yes, employees DID leave and guess what many went back to shops in the area. I assure you they are not bringing coffee out the to few adjusters left when they inspect a car at their shop. I don't think Glenn is reading this, he does not have time and does not care. His job is to line the pockets of his shareholders. If it means you millennial managers have to move back in your parent's basement (if you are not already there) when he cuts your job, well good for you.

The comments are the result of the divisiveness that has evolved over the last decade within the company and has reached new heights due to Shapiro’s cut throat style of management. Such a shame what has happened to a once great company.
Wow. Reading this is interesting because I'm learning how pissed off some employees are and also how little some (I guess?) managers care. I just leave this here my only observation seems problem is not one or other but maybe both. just wow.

Post your name gutless wonder, Inspire is to provide feedback on CSL performances and im mature enoigj to refrain from "to mush work" but you clearly do not belong in position of leadership-- thats your only function is problem solver, setting on 5 meetings a day, reading excel sheets, surfing web for shopping and making personal calls. Middle mgt should examine mediocrity in CSL but they won't if self driven workface makes them look good.

Hey genius we do read business section, top execs have golden parachutes (ask Shapiro he took one after he ran Lib Mutual commercial into ground) then bond holders, then preferred stock down order priority and employees not under contract are LAST and if you mr business genius who quotes Erisa even understands difference between defined contribution vs defined benefit the former are only as good ad net worth company which is why when allstate changed and set deadline they offloaded all their best talent albeit most expensive, and you managers have stock options that working grunts don't so we understand your pay goes up when you offload legacy costs and labor. Drop demeaning monlogue although what I come to expect from management lately. "How's your morale" is solution so everyone to afraid to answer truthfully and all you ho types will pat selves on back with myopic focus one excels sheets about how it's improving. We are too scared to speak mind, there is no input from font line and is it too much to just want to make it to retirement when we bust our asses without your management philosophy dunjour on top of it. Trust me, this old guy is enjoying retirement! I only post here because I was forced to retire because I was layed off. Would have liked to work a few more years but it was a blessing in disguise, I feel like a new person.

I meant I don’t care if the other poster believes that I saw the low ball estimates or not. I cared about my people and the customers. I too am glad I was able to retire and am ashamed to say I ever worked for the company. I now go to bed with a clear conscience.

What does “looking out for yourself”mean, and why haven’t you always looked out for yourself and your family ? That doesn’t mean you have to trash the company, but I’ve always worked hard and been loyal, but ALWAYS have looked out for the best interests of me and my family. You can and should do both.
I feel empathy for what you went through. That said, if you step back and remove yourself, do you believe we should stand still ?

Not sure why the bitterness towards millennials but the poster is on point with much of what he said. Due to the layoff I was forced into retirement after over 30 years of dedicated service. It is clear that Shapiro is there to drive up the stock price with no concern or appreciation for dedicated employees. I would also not trust them with your pension money. If circumstances are forcing you to stay my best advice is to look out for yourself, the company truly does not care about you.
