Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Cisco remains THE TOP networking company!

Irrespective of headcount predictions, regional estimates, or timelines for each round of layoffs, these self-destructive corporate actions always contribute positively to former and current employees' personal networks. Since 2014 alone, my personal network has increased 7-fold and covers a much broader base of companies where x-Cisco friends are now employed. These are benefits that don't appear on the balance sheet and are clearly not taxable in any jurisdiction. Thank you, John and Rock on, Chuck!

Ah, that was satisfying. I just got to tell another high talent graduate the truth about Cisco and reference this site when asked about working at cisco. He decided he was going to decline and Accept other offers.

The force of sarcasm is most definitely strong. I had to over come The negative stigma of being a Cisco employee thru my network and my own self taught knowledge and skills to land a few roles. I can’t tell you how many employers are less than impressed with Cisco work history.
