They might need to come crawling back to sears.

Sears opened @ 5.65 today.
The Speed Queen website has a store location feature to find a nearby dealer: https://www.speedqueen.com
An odd feature about the Speed Queen front load washer is that the door is hinged on the right side, the same as the door on their dryer. That means you always have a door in the way when you transfer your clothes from the washer to the dryer. Other manufactures hinge their front load washer door on the left side so you can avoid this when you place your washer to the left of your dryer.
@jlu - Speed Queen is available offline at some local mom-and-pop appliance stores scattered around the country. They seem to give their authorized retailers a radius of exclusive territory in each local area, so they aren't too close together. Last I looked, there was one about 20mi north of me and another about 10mi east of me. Their products are also available on Amazon through a few of the authorized-retailer appliance stores as third-party sellers; there was probably some controversy/lawyers involved when they started that.
@PUPDjO1-udm You really believe that, LOL
Sure, that’s why their stock went into correction mode today. OMG OMG OMG LOLOLOL
Worldwide, whirlpool sales to sears amounts to 3% of their sales. Not such a big deal.
Forward guidance (future profits) was cut because of the loss in business to sears as just explained on CNBC.
Sears loss tanked whirlpool stock.
Come on....Sears/Whirlpool are still working together on Kenmore. Read the article where Whirlpool discusses this. Whirlpool just isn't selling Sears their brands anymore.
Whirlpool's pain is temporary. Most of it is due to materials costs, which can be rectified by adjusting their prices. They will bounce back. The USA is still experiencing record new construction and home remodels, which creates a huge demand for new appliances.
Sears' situation is not going to get better, however. They are in a damned if they do, damned if they don't situation at this point.
OP here, they didn’t “miss” anything, they cut forward guidance. Big difference. This drop is largely due to the sears news.
Maybe some people on here need to learn how stocks work,
I don't think the decision to withdraw impacted the stock price. They missed their revenue targets due to increase in raw material costs. Guys none of us can even fathom what is in Eddy's mind. We are all small fish in the deep blue ocean.
Ugh. You guys should look up how stocks work and what actually affects them...
Speed Queen are the acknowledged greatest appliance makers on Earth. I am serious, they come with 25 year warranties and there isn't a plastic part on them. If Sears manages to land Speed Queen it would be a game changer because they aren't available anywhere but online
Talking heads on Fox business saying sears dumped Whirlpool over quality issues. In talks with something called “speed queen” - must be another of eddies bullsh@t brands.
You’re not kidding, Whirlpool is down $18 a share already!
