Guy on CNBC just explained it. Sears dropped whirlpool some time ago (official now, started in May) as a result, whirlpool had to cut their forward guidance (upcoming earnings). Doing that caused the stock to sell off so yes, sears sent whirlpool into its decline.

Sears/Whirlpool are still working together on some Kenmore products, so let's stop the drama. Whirlpool just isn't selling their branded product to Sears anymore.

Eddie and Burke only own about 50%.

Eddie owns most of the stock...at this point only him or Bruce selling could decrease it...

@PUl0PfL-jqq "Check the numbers so far, Whirlpool crashing (down 10.14%) sears is up 1% !"

Again, it is sad that people celebrate a 1% increase in a stock. That is nothing NOTHING in the stock world, people.

Spin...I'm sure they had a choice. Pay bills on time (probably upon delivery) or get cut off. Being forced to pay makes it impossible to compete.

I'm not sold on this being a choice for sears. More like the person being asked to resign before they're fired. Sears also stopped Maytag, KitchenAid and Jenn-Air by choice? So they decided selling basically kenmore, GE, LG, and I'm assuming a very limited on hand count of Samsung was a good idea? we could never get samsungs that weren't more than a few weeks out when I worked there. LG products took a similar timeframe. I just don't know. It doesn't make sense that sears would be the one with the leverage in negotiations.

It's such a great buy at this price. Can't wait to buy to more stock tomorrow. It will be in the 80s,and 90s soon. Just like our tired store fleet. Everyone wants to relive the 80s and 90s shopping with us. That's why kmart and sears are so popular. Nothing like listening to 90s pop music. And I did u again spears on kmart radio network. People will flood the stores.
