Some members of management getting 11/1 calendar invites at Headquarters across the nation. More Invites coming next week. We’re anticipating massive reduction for 11/2 or 11/30 for EOY layoffs. Operations jobs eliminated across nation is the rumor. We’re told not to confirm this invite.

Overheard 2 managers in Midwest Network today discussing a phone call received from a director about changes coming. The statement was "those who don't make the cut will know by November 2". That's all I heard.
There is a lot of different management changes happening/ rep changes. If you suddenly get moved to a smaller underperforming store don't listen to the whole " we need you to go there and make it better" pitch. More like they are moving you so that they can eliminate your position and act like they had no idea this was happening. Its been the plan all along and unfortunately we are forced to play along or we will be cut.
Yep the 11/1 meeting is confirmed according to the calendar app on the phone in my hand.
Also worth noting that annual benefits enrollment starts 11/2, which is later than any other year for the last several years.(usually occurs in mid oct) and... retail smart attire dates are different this fall as well..., no use in giving everyone $200 to spend two weeks before we RIF you or close your store!
