@PUqUufF-usf ***Really I got laid off this year! You Must of missed that layoff but I am happier with a piece of mind knowing I am at a way better career. NOT A JOB AT GE!
Morale on the floor is at an all time low. It is a shame what has happened to this company.

@PUqUufF-isr. You're comment is exactly correct. There will be massive GE layoffs and the last ones out will be the losers. Don't expect jobs to be available at GE's competitors either. They have also announced massive layoffs. On the other hand, the rest of the economy is booming. Hopefully your experience is not too specific and other industries can use your expertise. GE is collapsing and cannot continue to survive in its current structure. GE is not to big to fail. In fact, it is on the path to failure now regardless of leadership changes.
Everybody knows there will be layoffs. Guessing how many and when is just some game people like to play. GE has told us the layoffs and sell of some assets (20 billion) is coming. Employees that believe massive layoffs should be looking very hard to find a job. Those waiting on bonus payout and separation pay will be the losers as those that get let go will join the over-crowed job search all at once. Good luck with that.
