Suggestions for John Flannery

  1. Cut the entire digital non-sense and out source to Amazon or Microsoft.

  2. Cut Marketing, Services, Consulting up to 50% in every division. ( They are wasting time in the field and pretending to be busy )

  3. Remove all Executives and Seniors, let them apply for another job or leave

  4. Outsource your incompetent IT departments, in all divisions ( just like other companies )

  5. Outsource your incompetent HR departments, in all divisions ( That build nothing but bureaucracy, bad culture, favoritism, poor performance all over.

Don't let this become an Enron or Worldcomm.

Eliminate by selling the nuclear business. No US utility is going to buy a 10 plus billion dollar product in near future. Hard to compete with the Chinese or the Koreans.

Your pathetic. Why not while your at it outsource manufacturing & engineering. Enough of our jobs are outsourced to other countries. Keep our jobs here. Hire here, promote here, buy here, and sell everywhere. If we keep outsourcing eventually there will be no where to work except out of the US, which is where we will go.

Eliminate- Good points! Suggestion I was going to give Flannery but also eliminate Schenectady NY. The college kids with degrees are running that place into the ground. No one is happy or gives a half a crap anymore at GE Power in Schenectady. Some are riding it out most have other options in the works to leave this job(notice I did not say Career!). Good luck 273!

Undo Aero Energy & Heavy Duty business integration

Undo Waukesha & Jenbach integration

Undo LM Engine business from BHGE & keep under Aero Power or under Aviation

These are all independent businesses & keep them separate to thrive & generate money on their own

That will make GE great & profitable again!!

Arrogance is and has been an unwritten value - and an essential trait to move up EB , SEB, Officer ladder. And once they get there they become more arrogant , entitled and unaccountable ( scapegoating).

The first thing that Flannery should do it disband the current "E" structure .. there is no need to grant corp titles , each business starts with zero base budgeting and justifies each position.

Only then would clown shows like two officers reporting to one officer stop.

The service businesses have the largest margins in the company, 50+% in most cases with the exception of 3q(it was ugly). Cutting services, with the exception of Alstom and Baker Hughes, would be detrimental to the future of GE.

Flannery needs to clean house of e band employees and middle management. Look for yourself how many layers there are between Flannery and the people actually doing the work. There are 12+ layers in my org. I don't even want to get started on Corporate Audit Staff or OMLP. Those guys are a joke and cost the business insane amounts of money in compensation, T&L, multiple relocations, lost productivity within the groups they work with, and fairy tale numbers they come up with.

Fire 30% of ge officers...fire 30% of ebands...remove 40% of retarded mid level managers who never worked in the job they are trying to manage. Hire more who actual work with those salaries....promote within the group you work in. Also remove all buddies...aka...ebands that sleep with hr. Ebands to get promoted.

Ask Stokes to explain his four page organization announcement and why he needs Officers reporting to Officers and positions like “Operations Excellence Leader”...(bet that one is to save a buddy) and ten bucks says he can’t explain the rest! Comical he even admits in the announcement it’s alot to digest and a result of three months of integration work...Team Leader must have forgot about simplification! The only thing I can think of is this gives him numerous Lieutenants to blame and protect his butt.

Undo Aero energy Keep these two businesses separate; both of them have different business models if you need products from these businesses, they can sell to each other!

Keep LM engines as part of power or aviation. There is no point to keep these under BHGE.

This will drive & improve individual businesses to thrive like before (as these were) & will generate cash that we badly need.
