2zck I fail to see your point. The trend is turn key Cell site delivery. Site acqusition, design, construction, fiber delivery and site integration managed by outside vendors (Crown, Mobilite, SBA, etc). Also, It’s all done with capital dollars which is a bonus.
If anything they will boost head count due to the high demand for cell sites and fiber.
"At least they can't touch Engineering or Operations."
You're joking right? Because of VzB and VzW there are multiple units for the same job. Now that we are basically wrapping ALL of engineering for a sub-market and ALL of Ops for that market under the same umbrella there will be collapses in offices. This will lead to cuts. Yesterday, directors asked their respective managers if they know anyone who has voiced the option of taking a package. Next are the low performers, then its on to the core and cut as necessary.
At least they can't touch Engineering or Operations.
Yes too many people doing the same job and not enough work funny the same people who leave early early, come in late, go on Tinder, Match,Bumble and watch tv all day will complain when they get laid off.
