Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

What will be the future layoff impact of Trump's enforcement of existing H1B rules?

[The “trouble” is coming from a move by the Trump administration that will raise the bar for H-1B visa holders in the United States seeking to renew their permits to work here. given the continuous rain of layoffs, are they even able to file green cards for new h1/l1 staff or reply to notices for applications in the queue?

@PVmdT74-1kmd: but it also applies to renewals.

Just imagine, the "shortage" may have to be filled by the rafts of workers 45+ tossed aside. But wait, CSCO has a plan. Open hundreds of reqs for grade 6.

No worries, Cisco will double hiring of H1Bs to make sure there are enough left even if some of those are rejected.
