Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Even if I survive..how do you rebound?

Seriously with all the layoffs this year and now the last few weeks of this drawn out layoff, I am so checked out ofHumana. Humana is sinking their own ship as employee retention is going to be next to nil after everyone see how this company has handled the past year.

I'm an hourly employee (PHC) and we completed the Culture of Excellence trainings in the summer. I agree, it was purely propaganda and a complete waste of time.

And how crazy that many of us are having to go through these Culture of Excellence classes. I have been in nursing for over 30 years and I have never been through such propaganda. We all have college degrees and these classes treat us like we are kindergartens. Curious as to whose idea this was. Certainly would not be doing this if we were hourly employees. And how ironic that it is being completed just before lay offs. How insensitive.

Right. Even if we understand that it’s just business and layoffs are sometimes inevitable, the lack of communication and leadership, along with the “spin” or canned Kool-aid responses, have effectively destroyed trust and created a disfunctional workplace. Some leaders have made it worse by using the threat of job loss as a way to increase productivity. Toxic.

I agree. Iif you read through some of the previous posts March 2018 is scheduled for another round of layoffs. Unless there is some dramatic change in enrollment or direction they want to take HAH this is a sinking ship . I can see most employees at HAH working through the network. It looks like Humana wants to move toward contracted employees instead of Humana employees
