Ignoring pension...under-funded by $31B... $45B spent on stock buybacks...stock down 42% over his tenure...worst Fortune 100 performance in Dow history...$13B spent on worst acquisition in company history. What a transformation to be able to walk away with over $200MM if that doesn’t sum it up and make you angry nothing will— he should be in jail!

I worked for GE for over 30 years and all was good till Immelt became CEO.
most of the engineers and work force saw this coming. he should be in jail
what a crook !!!!!!
tyff
Send him to jail.
I am anti trian. I am glad they got rid of Immelt, god knows what the company would be like if he had hung around till 2020.
They just promoted another pretender in my biz. It's really sad when I think about some of the amazing leaders for and with whom I have worked, who are now gone. I think many of us are in denial, the first stage of grieving for the amazing organization we knew.
Goddam right
@PX8VCNZ-cbn Well put though it could almost be summarized as do it the way Jack would. I especially agree with the Board comments but would shrink it. I have voted against every board member every year for 12 yrs to no avail, what is Andrea Jung doing on the board? She was fired from Avon after leading it on a large decline in stock price as well.
The CEO should not also be chairman of the board. All board members added since 2002 should be evaluated. Replace half. Bring in new board from company heads that know how to control costs. Restore meaningful metrics. Reward performance. Look people in the eye and tell them where they stand. People's imagination will fill any void in communication. (Witness some of the remarks within some of these posts). Remove layers. Remove pretenders. Tell the great people they need not worry. Restore ranking. Eliminate poor performers immediately. Doing so will help restore morale. The wrong people will leave the company unless they are told they are valued. Identify the perfect staff to build/ manage projected sales for the next 24 months. Eliminate all others before year end. Treat all layoffs with utmost dignity. You might be working for them someday! Been there. Done that.
