Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Just had reseller as a customer....

I work in a Corp wireless location, customer came in with a shirt that's part of our uniform policy. I had asked him which store he worked in (assuming it was a corp location), definitely was shocked when he told me he worked for a reseller.

Anyone have a lit of locations that have converted to indirect or possible locations that will change?

No they care. It's part of the strategy of having as many points of distribution as posssible and ramping up indirect to replace corporate stores.

I like the way Verizon confuses the issue of who exactly does or does not work for Verizon.

They did the same thing in wireline with "Verizon Business".

Customers just think they have "Verizon" and find it confusing when you try to explain there are "different" Verizons.

Very confusing for the customers, but I guess no one cares.

He came in with a relative, issues with dp billing, blah blah. Stuff the reseller refuses to deal with. He was nice, wasn't rude at all.

My question is unless he was trying to rub one off in your face why would he come into your location wearing the shirt? Why wouldn't he just have went to his own location and given them the business, as it is desperately needed in each location?

Duh they don't "care". I'm crossing my fingers that I get a severance soon.
