Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Oracle Exodus

Oracle will be super stupid if it thinks that those people who saw all their peers / managers / coworkers for 10+ years thrown out in that nasty way will actually trust Oracle and stay till the end

I was part of a group of at least 63 people "involuntarily separated" this past week due to the OMCS/ACS "merger", although it was more like a takeover. There could be more, but they only sent me the stats on "older workers". I'm assuming that means range 30-70. They listed the position titles for those "selected" to be terminated and those "not selected". I was bitter for being selected, but now I'm wondering if I should be grateful for getting a few paid weeks to find my replacement job.

"Never EVER have loyalty to a company or corporation. You work for YOU, INC. No matter what. Never feel bad about leaving in 6 months because you get a better offer... They certainly don't give a $hit if they cut you after 6 months or a year... F@#kers don't really care about the human toll so feff 'em. You live for you and your family. That is the "bottom line" to put it in language our corporate masters can understand."

Sing it, brother (or sister)!! Worth repeating...so I did.

Oracle is sliding toward the edge. They'll get by, but it'll never be #1 compared to Amazon or Microsoft. They are an old dinosaur. So, it was worth blowing a year there. There wasn't too much I loved about it except working from home, tbh. I need to scan the separation paperwork so I can share it with people as a warning and to show people just how nasty these a$$holes are. These effers are nasty. I can't believe it, although I should. Another lesson I've learned in the past, but evidently I never get my lessons the first time. Maybe this is good advice for you, too. Never EVER have loyalty to a company or corporation. You work for YOU, INC. No matter what. Never feel bad about leaving in 6 months because you get a better offer... They certainly don't give a $hit if they cut you after 6 months or a year... F@#kers don't really care about the human toll so feff 'em. You live for you and your family. That is the "bottom line" to put it in language our corporate masters can understand.

Eff yes it is a joke. Just got canned from MCS. My manager supposedly didn't even know and just about pissed himself when I called to tell him they just Fedex'ed me my final check. I can't believe they didn't even have a document control system for developing sales documents. Beehive? Give me an effing break... Complete piece of $hit. Just like this company. Amazon is going to kill them.

If those people stick around they are stupid. Look out for yourself and find a better opportunity. Why be a dead man walking?

My still-employed-with-oracle colleague told me there's no trust in management anymore. I guess I'm just stating the obvious, but I feel good to let it out...

Buy some put options and sell stock after Q1.

Oracle Cloud is a joke and laid off good SC's.
