Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Very demotivated

This place is so depressing and demotivating. There is no reward for good work..monetary or otherwise..no one seems to care. You could have good people around you, but the vibe of the place is so negative. No one seems to want to hire me outside of this company. Feeling defeated, dejected and depressed. I need paycheck and that is the only reason I show up each day.

Those American making noise and complain telling the world all the low cost center taking away their job. Those low cost center is bastard.

Yes, Mr America, if the low cost center people is the bastard, then you are super idiot plus bastard.

1) The one that decide to cut your job, and send away, is an American. He cut your job in order to make himself richer. Basically it is the same theory where he run into your bank account and hack all your money and transfer to himself. He is the robber.

2) After Bastard American do such a damage, you blame it to low cost center, then you an idiot.

And finally everyone on the same boat.

Mikey the real bastard

I don't agree

There is a lot of rewards in DXC but for Mikey and his team.

Cut all the people, don't bother their career and life, even they can't afford a living, let them die.

Move all the work to automation. Ask the people to do more. Force them take leave, reduce the cost.

"We are people oriented company - just a branding. don't take it seriously"

"We pay based on performance - if you do a great job, mean mikey is drawing more. if you do a poor job, that is because you are stupid"

"We need to deliver digital transformation to our client - make sure we earn money, else how mikey can be rich?, customer don't get what they want is not our problem"

Mikey will be very rich.

You are just a worker, don't dream. You are here to be slave. Just do it, and fXXX off. If you work hard, DXC won't pay you extra, else how Mikey going to get a new car.

I don't know anyone who isn't in the same boat, I've never seen a more demotivated workforce than the one they've created at DXC, yet still the tell us working at DXC should be fun, what utter nonsense.

Had a 1 to 1 today, we just spent the hour discussing how broken DXC was, how demotivated everyone was.

The problem being that the DXC management is so out of touch of customer requirements that each manager wants to come up with something stupid with the sole purpose of making themselves feel important and required.

DXC managers are also doing company sponsored six-sigma certification with fake implementation. e.g. automated the deletion old log files of 600 kb and created customer value, and its accepted as value creation by the higher ups, only to show that their down-the-line is important and required.

Now there is a reward for good work (SSP), but not in a raise only a one time amount. There are so many limitations on who can get it also.

From hundreds of similar messages about this disgusting company of management dic---ads, I can only conclude that we ALL can't be wrong...get the hell out while you can...you will sleep better I assure you. Was a good company about 6 years ago, but absolute crap now.

I got RIFd back in Feb 2017 from One Rock. However able to find a better paying job within 45 days. The current work gives me pride, respect, belongingness and peaceful sleep at night. I guess that's all you need to lead a decent life, Thanks to CSC for teaching me a valuable lesson that company size can not bring in happiness or stability to employee life!

Get out while you can. The investors will start selling dxc out and soon the whole place will close down.

I agree, this company is awful. I love my job, really admire my coworkers, but DXC as a company is terrible. There is zero interest in you as a person, no growth, no new skills to learn, no financial incentives, nothing.

If you are able to receive a WFR from DXC then it is refreshing to be told that you can't work for those clowns (or any DXC-related entity) for a 12 month period. Even if someone else offers a lower salary package than DXC then accept it to get out of DXC which is demoralising and depressing to work at.

Don't give up. You will find greener pasture soon. After all, just about any job out there is more rewarding than this place. But not only should you not criticize DXC on your interviews; I recommend not even placing DXC on your resume. It will do you about as much good as advertising you have herpes.

It can take a while to find a job - also, make sure you don't carry your low morale into a job interview. Keep any talk about DXC (and of course, HP and HPE) to a minimum. All they need to know is that you are being pro-active, staying ahead of pending layoffs and want to work someplace that you can contribute to the success of the company.

Keep at it. It takes a while to find a new role, but if you're persistent you'll find something. I started seriously searching in March of 2017, and had an offer from another company in my inbox on July 15th. That same offer letter included a 25% pay rise from DXC (where I hadn't received even a cost of living raise for 3 years). I now work in a nice office, with motivated co-workers, who don't constantly complain about how terrible their company is. My new employer understands the value of happy employees, which is a far cry from the (honestly) horrible working conditions at DXC. Leave now while you can.
