There's early work on preparing a Deep Basin divestiture package for Q1 2018 so I wouldn't get too comfortable.
Keep dreaming... there are no plans in place to cut the deep basin staff. It's clear who they want developing their conventionals and It's not existing Cenovus staff.
Apparently the Conoco employees 1 year safe period ends at the end of this year. Likely to be more layoffs early in the new year.
They are being very strategic and only laying off a few at a time. One manager was let go last week....
I haven't heard of anyone being let go but they did say it would be smaller and more targeted layoffs. Can't see any reason to keep any Calgary staff and the field staff will go with the assets.
Can anyone confirm this? Haven't seen it myself but this company is huge...
