I was let go recently, it was liberating. I was going to take a 2 months break but got contacted by a small consulting company with a great offer - I liked what they had in mind and I was back to work in less than 5 weeks.
The market for tech is really good - really, really good - it'll be different but the market is good!
what do the severance packages look like?
So Cal IT market is as strong as it could be. However, most of jobs are in product management and agile/scrum and web development. We'll see what happens.
IT was a pretty good movie
Good to get out of there before the local market is flooded with laid off IT competition
