Layoffs among non-IT staff at Molina

You are correct. More than IT staff are slated for layoff this week through the end of the month. This includes leadership and line staff in all areas until they get to the target 1,500. They are at about 600 and expecting about the 650 reported below for layoff this week from there, if my math is correct, about 250 through end of the month. Beyond that info, I don't have specific on position or people. Does anyone have that master plan?

Washington hit today with lay offs.

Long Beach at corporate office. An outbound call center was let go today, and appointment call center is next.

it's quiet in Molina Towers - its eerie

I am in Molina Towers, we haven't seen anyone leaving for good like we last time in July.

I was part of the layoff working at Molina Corporate HR on July 28th. I still have connections who tell me that as of this writing people are being laid off with quote " alot of people crying in the hallways saying their goodbyes"..at the corproate office right now.

The company will just file a WARN notice stating that they have given a notice to a bunch of folks. This is what was done for the July 28th layoff.

My understanding is (and I could be wrong) that WARN notice is only required if the company does not intend to pay the employee during the notice period. If Molina is going to pay a severance package that is at least equal to the WARN period, they don't need to provide a WARN notice to individual folks.

What about WARNnotices?

That number is made up.

Where is this number (650) coming from? Anyone?
