Titles and ages were listed on a sheet of paper in the severance packet for those being laid off involuntarily. As of right now, this is only in the Marketing and Sales Department. Another chaotic situation orchestrated by a severely disconnected executive leadership team. What will be the legal ramifications? Ages? Really? Age discrimination?!?!

Can confirm, it appears to be all departments. Management panicked when they realized their error, that it was pretty clear in many cases who was getting laid off (detailed job title plus age of all). Late Thursday afternoon they began finding who they could find in the building, and doing the layoff right then. Then they cut everyone on the list out of the UP system. VPN access and building access was cut off around 5 PM for everyone on Thursday. Some people found out that way (myself included). It was a huge mess.
The list was not only for marketing. However , I believe this is legal, as age 40 & higher can request this list if ever laid off. The issue lies where someone could figure out if they are being laid off in Friday, ahead of time. That may have legal ramifications.
