So of those being laid off: How were you notified? Is there a severance package offered for everyone?

So if you've worked with molina for 10 years you'd get 10 weeks of severance pay??

You can contact HR to get the No Reinstatement clause removed. I emailed HR and had it removed without any issues.

Hey OP - see below:

Severance Pay may be available to the affected employees.Severance Pay is designed to assist affected employees in theirtransition, according to the following guidelines:

1.

======================

Eligibility for Severance Pay is limited to RegularEmployees only. Temporary or Per Diem/Casualstaff are not eligible for Severance Pay. Contractedstaff are governed by their specific contract.

2.

======================

The amount of Severance Pay for a workforcereduction is based on job category and completedyears of service, according to the employee’s originalhire date. One “week” of Severance Pay is defined asthe employee’s average weekly base pay, excludingovertime, incentive, or other special pay. SeverancePay for non-workforce reduction terminations isdiscouraged, but where provided will be calculatedon a case-by-case basis.

3.

======================

Severance Pay will be in one lump sum with alldeductions, after Molina’s receipt of an executedcopy of a general release or other severance andrelease agreement.

4.

======================

If the affected employee refuses an offer of anotherposition within the organization that is paid withinten percent (10%) of his/her current base rate, andis located within a reasonable distance from thecurrent job, Severance Pay will be denied.

5.

======================

If the affected employee returns to Regularemployment within one month of the originaltermination, he/she may retain all prior seniorityand benefits only if all Severance Pay is returned atthe time of rehire or reinstatement

6.

======================

Employees may voluntarily elect to be eliminatedfrom the workforce to save a co-worker’s job, andwill receive Severance Pay if otherwise eligible.However, Management reserves the right to refusesuch offers based on organizational needs.

As with all policies, Molina reserves the right to modify,change, or eliminate this policy at any time, with or withoutnotice.

For more information, as well as a Severance Pay table,applicable to workforce reductions, please see ourTermination/Separation Policy ("MHI Human Resources Policies/12.0 Termination and or Separation Policy.pdf")

The first wave was given 1 week pay for every 1 year. Not sure what we will be given. I find it very odd that we can't re apply at Molina ( not that I would want to), but we are being laid off for no fault of ours.

Many are saying you will get 2 weeks for every month and the 2 months pay after that. Is this true?

I was notified via phone since I was remote. Most employees are being notified in person and being escorted out of the building. Warn act for California ( not sure if it applies to all states) employees equates to 2 months pay and there is a severance package, not sure what that entails yet.
