Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

The latest rumor

Just heard from someone...who heard from someone...who talked to a VP in the local union, that if there are any eisp's offered this year, they would be on a very limited basis. They also said that there would probably be a more wide spread eisp before the next contract expires....and that's in 2019....so we may have to wait a while. Just sharing what I've heard so take it as just that...another rumor.

I suspect @1pka has a hidden agenda in that silly post, that of provocateur. Yet the rank and file didn't fall for it.

Nice try troll.

@1pka

How could you even hear what your sister's volleyball coach's son's ex-girlfriend's mom's boss's mistress's husband said while he was sitting on your faaaace?

Hey everyone. Cut the OP some slack. I heard the same thing from my sister's volleyball coach's son's ex-girlfriend's mom's boss's mistress's husband. So I can vouch the authenticity.

What's sad is I think that guy is hanging his EISP hopes on his third level. I shouldn't feel sorry for him but I do.

OMG .... are you kidding me? You got raped by the government? You have to be the biggest douche in Verizon. That is so absurd on so many levels, are so irresponsible with your money that after 40 years you were taken by surprise each and every week when taxes were taken out and you couldn't save any money for your retirement ? I'm union but I know what people mean when they say unions just protect the lazy . you are pathetic !

You still haven't answered the question. You said your 3rd level was asked about an eisp. What did he say to that question? I guess he probably said no eisp that he knows of, but then shaded his eyes and gave you the " wink-wink". 40 years and you haven't been able to manage your money in a way that would let you retire without the eisp? I think your 3rd level is having some fun at your expense.

Apparently G-- is a bad word since this site bans it and changes the word to dashes...

If you are happy and g--, is it OK that way?

I need an eisp to leave because I got raped by the government all these years in taxes. Next one, I'm out...

You're out there buddy. I think you can say "g--" it's not a bad word. My only question is why do you have 40 fu**in years with this company and you still have to have an EISP to leave? that is so sad!

My 3rd level is not g-- if that's what you're inferring. He knows something is up and he knows I have 40 years and need to leave with the eisp soon...

So a question was asked to your 3rd level and he says what? Nothing , and you get a special covert wink-wink. That's believable .

I think that wink-Wink was a come on and not an acknowledgement of an eisp. Your 3rd level was fishing.

My 3rd level gave me another wink-Wink this morning in a meeting when EISP was asked. No one else saw it... it's happening in October for sure.
