Health and wellness Reg and DM cuts. Vision Center 3-party take over! No VCM or associates for that area!

Personnel, DSD, Vision Centers and eventually AP will all be 3rd party.

If you are in the effected areas start looking!

From the referenced article, -Regional store management and HR overall has been a weak link in the Walmart organization during the past several years. “Three of the most senior folks in Walmart U.S. had zero HR experience prior to their current roles,” the executive told Retail TouchPoints in an exclusive interview. “They don’t seem to want or need HR leadership — they just want people to ‘execute the plan,’” he stated.

Sadly, many (internal staff and vendor partners) have said the same thing about certain groups under the HR umbrella. Coming in from the outside, it is startling to say the least at what goes on.

Someone had mentioned SG&A in a previous post, which brings to mind administrative costs. Hope someone is looking closely at administrative costs. Some of the leadership didn't believe in leveraging Walmart's size to secure lower administrative costs, and instead drove up administrative costs unnecessarily. That type of thinking defies all logic, it's consulting 101 stuff. Walmart has the size to leverage and should if they want to control costs. It's sad, but unless there is a shakeup the cycle will continue.
