Reality is that this company can't afford the number of people it has. What's left of the talent at CHK won't be there in 12 months - mostly by choice.

Of course they have plans to layoff or move people. Over the last year or so there are probably 500 fewer people working in the field offices, at least 5000 fewer wells, and a couple thousand miles of gathering lines and transmission lines no longer a Chesapeake responsibilty. In the next few months one of the six major assets is going to be sold. No one in the corporate office has been let go during all of this. Do you really need all the engineers, hr, land, accounting, and everything else required to support the nonexistent operations?
