Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

When do you think Amazon will realize the nightmare they bought?

The big change is going to come when Bezos realizes that he's the proud owner of a $14 billion nightmare. No rational chain tries to go national with a collection of far flung local and regional chains with separate logistical systems and ordering databases all based on 30 year old technology. That's why chains like Publix have gradually grown from region to region, state to state. 90% of those reading this don't understand the extent of the FUBAR in the company's operations. It's a clusterfkk inside a tangled knot of incompatibility, held together with fraying string and wet duct tape. This won't end well.

Couldn't have put it better if I tried, @PfS1dQP-3vow. It will take huge amounts just to try bring the entire system both up to date AND to unify it for the entire Whole Foods. The key word here being try.

Great job OP!! Our tech and our leadership (all of whom are self-important, rude and completely unapproachable), are our biggest waste of $$. Our RP likes to send "Notes", which comes across as a sad attempt to motivate and inspire, meanwhile the rest of us wouldn't even have time to type an email as long as the one from yesterday. Work hard, be grateful, be frank about your skill set, show up for work and I think the ones who perform, coupled with a good work ethic that there will always be a place to earn money, WFM or otherwise. Customer service blows in the majority of my region's stores but our leaders do NOT set the example and what seems so clear to me, is completely lost on these people.

Once they see ChefTec, they will see that we are on the cutting edge of technological advances. Then they will want to learn from us.

Relax! Don't be envious of this 'love at first-sight marriage made in heaven' Afterall, the ring is the most expensive on the planet, a paltry $14b. Time will tell as the novelty will wear off.
