Layoffs started last week, getting rid of engineering, sourcing, lower level management. All because they have a pension, or make a decent living. They combined white collar jobs and want someone to do 3 Times the work for crap pay. I herd bigger cuts coming by next week including the blue collar across GE as a whole not just one division. The American Dream is dead in GE! No more pension, lower wages, double and triple the work load on one person! But yet there are a handful of dedicated people who think they can kiss butt to get to the top. People are dumb! Wake up! GE is another fly by night job!

Schenectady is doomed. No business.

What business there is going to Alstom because the current customer want the Alstom product. Schenectady can't compete with internal GE (Alstom) pricing.

At best, Schenectady will remain as a service shop.

Two years tops.
