Who will be Ginni Rometty's Successor. What kind of skills does the new CEO need to have and how long do we have to wait before this actually happens. At this point it looks like she'll rule forever and she does not indicate that there may be any changes any time soon.
I am not sure what's board's position on this and it does not look like there is a succession plan in works.

It won't be an outsider. Odds are the next CEO will be a short-timer and a scapegoat for decades of mismanagement and will be dramatically ejected by the board and replaced with an outsider that has been groomed for years. By blaming her successor and bringing in a White Knight from outside the board will absolve themselves.
