The management may want to spend a bit of time and understand what the employee does before they lay them off - please stop being surprised about the loss in productivity once the knowledge is gone.
I was cut in June 2017 and they called me TWO times since to return - they did realize that nobody in India can do what I was doing, there was way too much tribal knowledge lost - even though everything is documented, these bozos cannot figure it out...
So much this, @PkoP6VS-tns. Several times I have been left scratching my head, wondering what criteria they used for layoffs. people who are absolutely essential to us got cut over and over. I don't see that changing with the latest round, this management does not seem capable of learning from their own mistakes.
