It's understandable for the VPLEX news to be considered fake since there's been no communication around it. But it isn't. The erstwhile VP for VPLEX has now been rewarded with a new portfolio for bungling VPLEX. He is already getting his loyalists from VPLEX in charge of the new product and keep all control in Hopkinton and screw up everything all over again.
When the day comes that you are shown the door, will it be fake news then?
Yep, does seem like fake news.
Sounds like some fake news to me.
We know there is a lot of talk regarding portfolio simplification and XIO will probably be the first one out of the door. I don't think it will happen any time soon though. They will look at customer adoption for XIO v2 first and will try to make some more money before deciding what to do with it.

i would think if this was the case then internal emails would have been sent around stating this
What happened with Ale$ Vepr$$$y ?
