Can't wait to see whats up their sleeve????? Stop playing with your dedicated employees lives and if you're going to let us go ?? let us go !!!!! it is a slow liquidation .But receiving is still full in most stores, the store is starting to look like sh*t hole ...because they have employees putting merchandise anywhere !!! Management says get it out and don't bring nothing back !!! They are dragging this company to the ground it so sad !!!!!!!!!! please give us a. Heads up on what is truly going on !!!!!!! That what this board is suppose to be about

They don’t do that because it doesn’t make sense for the CEO. Sears Holdings is bleeding money but Eddie keeps making money. It’s a slow liquidation in which he profits from through secured loans and keeps the real estate when it’s all over. Eddie is not a fool, people who think he is because he didn’t succeed at retail don’t see the big picture, he was never in the business to drive a successful company. The man may not care for the people employed by him, he may lie and put on a show for things to change but at the end of the day he is a billionaire making more money from a business investment.

If not merger/BK/sell then maybe:

  1. changes to employee medical... (coming up next month) where we might have to pay a lot more for coverage

  2. Just like they had data center employees be part of a consulting company (TCS), perhaps some other IT or Biz departments are also outsourced and current Sears employees become 'consultant's or 'contractors' and work for an agency instead of Sears.

Both situations might save the company dollars in benefit costs or severance/packages when folks are laid off

This is just a pure guess but they are viable options for a cash strapped company to save money in the short term (or) are done to make the downsizing of the company less costly.

I am really reaching here but we all know Sears is in dire straits

The Toys R Us article was interesting because their management said they decided to declare BK now instead of waiting until later because kicking the can down the road would end up costing more, chapter 11 gives them access to DIP funding now to change the business. Why hasn't Sears done that?

If you work in an innovel warehouse you would see the changes.lie to yourself but don't pull an Eddie on the rest

If Innovel is really spinning off, there won't be a Sears Holdings bankruptcy for at least 2 years (if ever).

Why do you think a true 'insider' would care about you enough to give out information anonymously on an anonymous forum?

Really people no one takes this board as Gospel anyways ... we all know half to most of this stuff is made up to get people going, but its worth the time to read , some things have been correct some not so true, no one is jumping off any bridges because of what's said on here. Well at least they better not be! There are a lot of haters on her ready to jump on anyone that has a insider tip. Those people should just stick with Pebble because that's where the real sears news is happening! (LOL) For the rest of us, this is a close to the truth there is unless your sitting next to Eddie at the table figuring out what store to close next or to throw in the towel

So many fake news on this board.

Don't you remember the false news about Amazon using Sears stores as mini hubs then about innovel spin-offs, now anonymous user (we don't know if he is really the same Popcorn) talks about a big news that "will change this company".

You can't change a company of this size with 140,000 employees and 735 stores in one day it takes years and you have to compete with Amazon, Wal-mart, Costco which does the same, faster, better, cheaper.

Popcorn's record isn't even close to perfect. He's been wrong the majority of the time...

It's funny y'all don't even get it when someone is mocking you. Even the name popcorn mocks you.

Popcorn..as in get out the popcorn to watch the train wreck.

I third that vote on Sears going BACK to being mail-order catalogue. Right in line with Fast Eddie's pocket. Remotely plausible it morphs into the old Best Products/ Setvice Merchandise model of catalogue showrooms.

So we are dismantling our green monsters in receiving but have been told nothing about closing. Getting rid of counters in headlines and soft lines seems to be growing. Are we becoming Ross or Marshalls or something?

I agree with the lower post "will it get me the heck out of here and when" ... at least tell us which month it will happen.

I also agree with the on-line quote - sounds like something Eddie was planning.

Only problem we have all this Christmas stuff laying in our back rooms right now

It is probably a complete liquidation of all stores and moving the entire operation online. I don't know if it will be successful, but it is the direction they have been wanting to head in for several years now.

Change it, hopefully disappear is a better word, I'm tired of getting talked to like its my fault we have no help in the store, and no product on the shelves, and don't even get me started on people coming in to get craftsman tool warranty, with nothing to give back and no chance to even order them in for the member

I felt the tent on K-mart should have been folded years ago. Sears might have a chance w/out the dismal K-mart operation. K-mart might have bought Sears, but its fall from grace has been far greater than Sears.
