Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Accounting Associates

What is everyone's plan? How many teamlead plan on staying? Will you move to another full time position? Take the severence? What about all the part time associates? Will you stay for the 12-16 hrs? Hoe eill you pick up extra hours? Has anyone already been told when the machine comes to their club? I am staying and eill probably get the 12 hrs portion. Hoping to get extra hours on the Front End.

Is this happening in all Sams Club I'm from Texas part time accounting but I heard my team lead got called to the managers office for a meeting and she was on vacations. I'm guessing this is the reason :/. When will this be happening anyone know?

I am a 12 year accounting lead. I am currently on medical leave from having major surgery last week. This is not the phone call I expected to get today from my manager. My plan is to go back after leave and work until Dec. 1st and take my severance. I wish them luck with the new machines! Lmao!

Audit people had to take pay cuts when they moved. Why wouldn't cash office?. I think it is wrong that they had to but they did. A girl at our club lost $.90.

you would think just to be morally decent they would not do this just before christmas but that’s how w/m rolls. i cannot see staying and busting my butt for a company that puts no value on its people. every job in the building will soon be p/t. i refuse to do cashiering or stand on a door checking receipts. if this is what i wanted to do then i would have transferred to it. get out of retail if at all possible there’s nothing left

I'm taking severance because I was going to retire next year anyway. The machine is coming in October. My last day will be Dec 1.

Will not lose your rate of pay unless you take a position that their max is less then what you make

taking the severance. i drive too far for 4 days at 16 hrs. there’s nothing else left or i would already be doing it. it’s not worth being dragged around to what ever they want done. i’m out!

So very sorry to hear this, best wishes to you all! I am waiting for my walk into the managers office. As a receiving clerk who does work the dock, it's a matter of time...already losing the 99 orders and home office will be paying the bill instead of me. Waiting patiently...

I believe severance for me. Not many really good positions available. Not to mention I really will hate it because I love my job and my team. Not really feeling like sticking around though.
