Robots Are Taking Over: All accounting offices have been brought down to 20-28 hours. Majority have 28. divided between 2 associates, 12 for one and 16 for the other. THE ROBOT TAKES OVER. I am estimating that our Marketing is probably next followed by recv and a couple other useless positions...

PoB5Z5G-ppv. sorry but there are some useless jobs that at this time haven’t been affected. i doubt the comment was geared to accounting. in my opinion only, memb. champ and comp shopper are a payroll waste big time. due to company focus membership tl and coordinator are not needed. due to new software no need for full recv team and ptc. acct knew the machine was coming for a year. photo and jewelry will be leaving sooner rather than later. do i like or agree of course not and before you ask yep i’m caught up in the rif myself.
I don't appreciate the comment about useless positions. The cash office had been a key area and maintained by dedicated long term associates . Many of them in their 50s and up and have to find a new job. It's awful.
Next round is coming very soon ,quicker then anyone thinks! Yes it is very sad that such a great corporation at one time can do this to the associates that care bout the jobs they do ..... I know Sam Walton wouldn't have envisioned this for his associates he would take care of them ....he might have eliminated a job but he would have created another one !!!! Company had gone down way way way down
Cash recycler . It's a machine that makes and dispenses change and counts all the money
It's called greed and those freaking self check out lanes.
Membership will be next, all membership offers have gone digital. No need for Field Associates when on line offers are better.
Well, sorry to hear about accounting. Been the receiving clerk for 18 years and just waiting to hear about my job. I knew things were going to start happening. Just wish we could get on with the next layoff. So tired of not knowing.
I work for a different company, just saw this in the 'latest posts' feed here on layoff.com - what kind of robot are we talking about here? I was not aware something like this existed?
