Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Qualcomm needs to make 2 changes.

  1. Allow employees to work from home on Tuesdays or Wednesdays or Thursdays. One work-from-home day a week will significantly boost productivity. Don't allow Mondays and Fridays as work-from-home days!

  2. Start a system where every work day, employees (ALL EMPLOYEES INCLUDING DIRECTORS, VPS, EXECUTIVES, etc) have to enter what they accomplished that day AND how that accomplishment creates value for qualcomm AND make that record public to ALL employees. Then have a dedicated independent team randomly or systematically review employees' responses.

This will create an organization that encourages accomplishment rather than spending time in the office. It will make every single one of us accountable. It will also make the organization transparent which is exactly what we need.

WFH should be abandoned. WFH is abused beyond belief. Even if you give 1 WFH day/week, people will WFH other days saying they have a doctor's appointment, NFW, take kids to soccer practice, etc. Qcom employees are probably the least healthiest employees in the nation (I'm betting the offshore Indian employees people hate on this site have far lower truancy rates).

They need to stop being delusional about nxpi deal closing given current offer price and % shares tendered. Coffee is for closers!

They will never do that. It will expose that the executives don't accomplish anything and that their lazy asses are never in the office. And they are the ones making these kinds of decisions. Transparency is bad
