L-3 is not winning new contracts because of all of the FAT at the Top and overhead at Greenville, TX.

End of fiscal year is the last day of sept. This ties to govt contracts. There is very little work in Greenville.. one of the people I have worked with, made big bucks and big salary, did a fantastic job, was laid off yesterday morning. They are trimming the fat salaries, to make fiscal 2018 have better numbers, we all know l3 is top heavy. I have said this for 15 years.
A long time ago I saw plans for Greenville to build 5 more hangars that would run perpendicular to the existing ones. If this comes to fruition, I see Greenville taking back any work that has went to Waco, as well as all of it being moved to one facility. It may take 5 years....this is just phase one.
How many of the greenvilee leadership in Waco were rif'd yesterday, oh don't forget their family and friends? How many greenie leadership in gvl were let go yesteday (dont forget their family)? those are the questions.
you will get the same results with same group of greenie's so if that is what L3 wants that is what they will get. gettin rid of lower level is not the answer for decesions, but helps elimimmintate cost.
I saw the post earlier about suggestions on making it harder to rif,.. no union in their right mind IAM or UAW would want Waco, even gvl uaw don't want it so don't count on that
well in the past no rifs in December so make it to December, but then the final 2017 numbers come out in January so that would be the next sensible time to expect another rif, with projects completed it could be big depending how many of our brother and sisters leave for other jobs between that time. If you are waiting to retire might be good to wait to January and get paid for it... where does it stop, I wouldn't wait around for that answer.
