Is Dell going under?

Is everything really moving to India? First IT, now everything else?

This is what happens when management is not up front with their employees. The Dell/EMC management team are just playing games with the employees. The company will go under if this continues. Go out and get a different job with a real company. These upper managers are all about money not people lives.

This job insecurity is draining us. What used to be great team globally now harshly divided, uninformed, and selectively excluded to prevent any form of knowledge drain to the other regions - because job security. While management are scared sh-- to say anything to the top and screw the people below the chain instead. f--- this toxicity

@Big Unit - they reduced 20% because they sold all bits they could. There are no more chunks to sell left. In 3yrs Dell will have to restructure its debt load.

Any product no longer growing in sales is moved to India to die a slow death.

I think Michael Dell knows he made a big mistake and is willing to do whatever he can to save the original Dell Corporation. Just look at the number of people that have been laid off since beginning of 2015. I would say close to 70,000 people lost their jobs because of a few greedy people on both sides of Dell and EMC. Pretty sad.

The days of wanting to work for a big long-established firm are over. You are just a number in a budget to be cut when EPS fails to impress the REAL bosses hedgies.

I do see a mass movement of mid management portfolio to India.

These replies are all pretty ridiculous. The five year plan of paying off the $67B is 20% done. Moving jobs to India is common....it's interesting how if people get laid off, they instantly think the company is going down...

More on the way to move from cork.

The full accounts payable has moved from cork to Bratislava ( around 20 people made redundant )

Does Michael Dell own a stake in CRN or something?

Going off their coverage, you'd think Dell EMC business was booming.

Many have tried that move (onshore to offshore). All have failed. Threre is direct negative correlation between % offshore work and drop in shareholder value.

Your "everything else" is a bit all encompassing. Do you have specific examples of what else is moving to India? And not all "IT" is moving to India.
