Stand up for yourselves have some balls. GO UNION before they close more retail stores and do away with commission completely. Overheard it from the area president several more wireless stores will be closing by end of year. Also stores remaining will go to strictly hourly. No commission. Unionize and this cannot happen. Trust me do it now. Do it for your families. Stop drinking the koolaid. They are screwing us all over with quotas they want us to leave. It's a win win for them. We quit on our own no severance package we stay and hit quota they continue to get rich till they close us. It will happen. Indirect is the future wake up. I hope this company rots you know where. Tenured and good sales people will leave. No one will put up with what we have to deal with for 15 an hour. They are cutting their own throat. This is the end of corporate big red wireless.

Won’t happen. Only a few stores in NY and MA unionized. From what I’ve learned and seen VZW workers have no balls and enjoy getting sh-- on constantly. Not a chance in hell I would deal with the BS at my job that VZW gets away with their workers. But they just sit their bent over asking for more
unions were strong when employees were not so plentiful. you bring nothing of value and only cost now

Why would any sane person want to go into a VZW store in the first place? Put your name in with the person who's only job is to stand there with an iPad. Standing around forever waiting to be called. I buy online at VZW dot com and couldn't be happier. Although if you join the union now you can get your pretty red shirt to prance around in come August '19 when the next strike occurs. You can even hang out with the old timers at the weenie roasts next to the local Wireine garage while they perform their mandatory strike shift.
I come from a huge union family, so I'm not anti-union. That said, modern day unions for service-based employees have no teeth.
VZ will end up doing what it will do to survive and pay dividends to stockholders.
The "union" ship has sailed. The time to have organized was when wireless retail came about.
What eliminating commissions will do is run off the sharks and keep us from slamming guests.
The $15 amount is random. I'm sure each geographic area will have their own pay structures.
Additionally, I don't think it will be straight hourly. I do there will still be bonus elements.
We'll all be glorified clerks.
