Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Gartner survey

Nike hired technology research giant Gartner to survey employee satisfaction. Evidently the results were not what they had hoped for and our 'leadership' was asked to improve the situation.

The answer: we all met in a room, formed small groups, and then competed between groups making toy planes from some basic parts.

This was awesome! My moral instantly improved and my productivity went through the roof! I reread the nike maxims and dedicated the remainder of my life to them. It's no wonder they're called 'leaders' - I'm so proud to have walked in their shadows. This was pure brilliance!

If you don't like the data, hire someone else to create the data that supports your agenda. That's why EY, Deloitte, PWC are among the most prosperous companies in the US. "My mind's made up, don't confuse me with the facts" has become " My mind's made up, get me some new facts to confuse the rest."

It was Gallup not Gartner and they have cancelled the next survey alomg with Gallup all together. I guess they didn’t like the results. I assume they will find a survey they can manipulate and use that instead.

Not many real issues (if any) will be brought up in a small group setting like that. The few that do come out will die with management because they can’t take the issues higher or risk getting the axe.
