I am hearing that HD is done and that he is leaving a cloud vendor. There will be a big re-org after OOW and not before because execs don't have time to do this with the conference. Major changes coming right after OOW. They could cut the ECA & SC org by 30%-50% and reduce managers by upwards of 40-50%. MH doesn't like it when managers do not have at least 10 direct reports. They are going to recalibrate the business towards using more resources in Colorado, Austin, and Reston. The New College Hires are currently being trained to take on more of this work. After this layoff, there shouldn't be any more re-orgs the rest of the year until June 1 where there will likely be another cut.
This is all about culling the herd. The vision is to ultimately have a minimal field team for only the largest and most profitable accounts and then leverage partners and remote low cost workers to support the business. This is all about changing the cost and business model for Oracle to make the cloud products more competitive and have higher margins.
The message is to get out while you still can on your own terms before you are forced to have to update your resume and look for a new job.
