New Receiving Hours

Can anyone who has been a test club for the new receiving hours comment on what they are? I've heard its gonna be 2 different 8 hour shifts. One late evening and early morning shift. No more overnight stocking/receiving. What about fresh trucks?? Any insights??

Would be great if they kept overnights just for fork truck use. Its so difficult keeping the steel organized based on company standards when entire isles are blocked off due to stocking. Pallet jacks, trash, cardboard, associates. Cant imagine it will be much better when were dodging members. Think of the payroll needing spotters. Isnt there a sam walton quote that says something like your greatest resource is your employees? I have never felt like anything i say is so unimportant as i do now. Talking to the managers, particularly store managers is a waste. They are not allowed to think for themselves and really could care less about anything we have to say. Whatever happens, i need my job. Ill do what is asked of me and like always.. i will do it to the best of my ability! No changes have actually happened in our club just yet. I really hope they know what they are doing.

I work at a location with no overnight receiving due to a noise ordinance. We come in at 6 and get all the trucks unloaded and put on the dock during the day. However, we still have a night shift that puts everything away and stocks everything. And we're always the last stop for fresh trucks because they've already gone to all the other locations. I don't know how it will work for clubs without a large back room area to store everything, or for when the fresh trucks will all have to come during those times. Because if you have them scheduled for the earlier shift that leaves around midnight, what happens when they are running late? They have to wait three/four hours for the morning crew to come in?
