Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Be an advocate for change

We all know there are way too many people in the wrong positions. These are usually not bad people, just people that should have the opportunity to do something other than what they are currently doing. We all know people that if they were doing something else, our jobs would be easier. Although the old HR system for employee reviews was subjective (meaning your manager) and his opinion, right or wrong was how you got rated, at least had ratings. Wouldn't it be nice if we could have input on who should not be doing the job they are doing in preparation of reduction in workforce actions. Lets start holding people accountable again.

The Pareto Principle also fits GE, whereby, around 20% of employees generate 80% of its wealth. The other 80% are just passengers, euphemistically speaking.

The current situation within GE seems to be a classic example of the "Peter Principle" in action ... "managers rising to the level of their incompetence".

Can I vote down myself so I can get paid to leave? Why am I even still here?

LOL. GE leadership thinks they are accountable to no one. Why should the headcounts be?
