Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

What Would Happen?

I am curious what would happen if I sent a long, well thought out, and polite email to John Furner and Gisell Ruiz and possibly other higher ups? I want them all to know where I'm coming from with some of my thinking about recent changes and such. I have been scared to in the past because I didn't want to lose my job. Some of the changes aren't cost effective nor do they help member experience. I am not going to be rude or curse to them but just present the facts that hold true in our club.

go ahead with your email if it makes you feel better. you’ll no doubt receive an automated response in minutes. i’m sure it’s a monitored address but i guarantee he never sees it nor does she. just thanking you for contacting with several responses geared to your msg. these layoffs and “restructuring” didn’t start with him. thank the wonderful leader Roz for this crap. its been in the making for a long time. tying up loose ends this past 6 mos. could he have stopped it? prob not. should he have tried of course. but he’ll be gone in 5 yrs after thousands of lives are turned upside down and the company sinks. walmart - sam’s will tank in 10 yrs but hey the top dogs will all be living like kings and queens

Both of them are the lowest level of scum. Could care less about you and your position while they rake in millions a year and jet around the country at their own flight of fancy.

Driving away your long term knowledgeable associates will sink you sooner than you think.

Low paid idiots off the street are what gave Walmart the bad name in customer service and now it’s spilling over to Sams because of your misguided attempts to cut costs.

They won't care, because at the end of the day they get huge bonuses for all these cuts.

Severances are done too. Management has the choice to offer you a severance or a position within the Club, if you don’t want the open position, you don’t get the choice of a severance anymore.

It's not a personal decision by Walmart. It's a business decision. They aren't firing you. Just eliminating positions. You can apply for open positions and you have 60 days to find a job within the company. And if you can't or don't want to you get a severance package.

This is what businesses do on a daily basis. Not a new concept here.

Your email wouldnt even make it to them. Their emails are screened by an assistant and yours would end up in the deleted folder.
