Over 1000 zzz09 names counted (for September), as of a few days ago. That's globally.

For prior months, there are hundreds of names, not thousands. October should be interesting.

Yes Dell is hiring but the news about waves of layoffs is NOT fake news!

Cuts in EMC Consulting, Pre-Sales and Sales groups started 2nd week if August and have been rolling weekly ever since. I know this from a personal point of view and staying connected with those still there weekly. This is reported to continue weekly thru end of October with the biggest cuts yet to come. They are being careful to layoff most senior and highest paid regardless of performance and need but throw in a 30-something/lower paid person into the group (with documentation issued to each affected group) in small chunks so they don't get accused of banding by age or salary.

Fake is false statement... Dell is cutting people from their payroll. Management is playing the number game sometimes even if some projects suffer.

My wife, family and I will be glad to know I was not laid off and I will continue getting checks from Dell Technologies. Will be hard to earn it though as I turned in my laptop, badge, building access, office keys, and AMEX card. Wait, was I laid off?

DELL is laying off so whoever you are from the Management / HR writing this is fake news. Shut up and stop manipulating us. the technique DELL is currently using with the Lay Off plan is Divide and Concur.

The lay off is to let go the high cost team members and hire their replacement in cheaper locations.

Yes i agree that dell is hiring that is not false at all but they are ALSO firing at the same rate or higher rate.
