Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Losing night shifts is idiocy

Some of you might be happy to not havhave a night shift however some of us needed that shift for our family dynamics. The shifts are 4-12:30 and 230-11. Not a whole lot can be done with stocking on morning shift you only get three hours to do it and the second shift you only get two hrs without customers on the sales floor unless the hours the doors open get changed to again follow stores that we've always strived to be better than. We on our night crew too a lot of pride into our work and always did more than expected we could do...now that drive is gone. Welcome to the dayshift mentality! Not just the hourly workers are being affected by this, our coach is too. We were not just co-workers we are a family, a team the worked very hard together that's now being torn apart for a damn test that I hope blows up in their collective faces!

Agree with you completely, @PriDw8u-2pdu. I think this is a stupid idea that will end up biting Sam's in the behind.

look for some of these changes to come back in two yrs. maybe three. it will take a yr to realize we screwed up and another yr or so to figure out how to fix it if it’s not too late for sam’s. another CEO comes in in 5 yrs and is worse than each one before him/her. solid leadership in sam’s? well you think about the last say 10 yrs. so they start over in a couple yrs and fill some deleted positions with 12$ an hr p/t and still the machine is broken down. band aids don’t work and never will. again where’s the leadership to make it work???
