Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

More members moved to new care managers overnight

I found out this morning that all of my CRCM members in the program were moved to another "special" team overnight. Many of those members were people I have spoken with for four years. No warning this was happening. No chance to make a final call. It continues to disturb me how little value HAH places on the care manager-to-member relationship. It will be no wonder to me if open enrollment is low for next year. These people are unique individuals (not just contacts!) who deserve better than to be continually shuffled around from one care manager to another, and another, and another, and yet another. Enough. Stop.

Look at the post Coach 100 are you out there? Sounds like we won't know much information until after Humana knows how many people are going to retire early . So not a lot of information until the middle of October .

Agreed, below poster. They are so hung up on metrics they spent zero time preparing us for next week. Nobody on my team feels prepared. There is a general consensus that as long as reimbursements are coming in, as long as metrics are achieved, nothing else matters, not even adequately preparing staff for changes, or sufficiently communicating with associates.

HAH 2.0 training was done by CBT and we did not get the practice on the computer like with CGX training. I don't feel that they have invested all that much time in me and it will not make a difference when the next layoff comes. 2.0 is a lot to remember; not looking forward to Monday.

I don't think the fact that we've been trained on HAH 2.0 tele-modularity is any kind of reassurance against being laid off. Remember, they trained us all on CGX 2.0 in March and then laid off more people in April, and again in August.

Right - it is a company wide layoff coming, but another poster below was making the point that HAH is part of Humana, so we are not exactly excluded from a company wide RIF.

Crcm cannot move to monitored so maybe they are congregating those to one team or something I have also heard it is a humana reduction. Which is why it was on hi page since hi is for all and not just hah

They don't use town halls for layoff info, just confidential email meetings.

I feel like they wouldn't have us doing this 2.0 tele modularity training just to get rid of us all, so I am inclined to think this is just a meeting about Live Healthy and 2.0, but who knows, I see no description in the email.

Hmmmmm, I wonder if the meeting on October 10 for all PHC's is just a review for this new 2.0 or is it the call. Does anyone know?

We had our team meeting (another phc here) and our coach said nothing about being safe, but our coach never talks about anything to do with layoffs and we always pretend nothing has ever happened in 2017. It's dysfunctional, but it's how we roll I guess.

Same here. Agree it's more BS from JR. What is that BS about all Humana, not Humana at Home? Last time I checked HAH was part of the big Humana so how can he claim the next layoff won't affect us? Don't believe any of them anymore.

Why didn't my team get the memo? Granted, I would take it with a grain of salt after everything that's happened this year, but still...

My team got the same reassurance about our PHC role. I don't believe it. Sounds like JR was the source, saying that the article on the Hi site about reductions in the next 60 days was for all Humana, not specifically HAH. I think we've all learned that we can't trust JR's word since the famous "no more layoffs in 2017" speech. He's either clueless or a liar.

Maybe, but would coaches have that sort of information already? Or are some just trying to appease teams and get them to refocus on work instead of worrying about the next round?

With all the planning behind 2.0 it is hard to believe they would all of a sudden realize they didn't plan for enough phc's.

Of course, many on my team have quit so if other teams are losing phc's, maybe they lost more then expected, who knows.

Maybe some areas or teams are being looked at and others aren't?

Why are coaches all over the place? Our team was told earlier this week that it wouldn't be a bad idea to update resumes. Why is there no uniform message here?

I’m also a PHC. It was implied by my coach In our most recent team meeting that we are safe and can stop stressing about layoffs. It was also shared they actually DONT have enough PHC’s for the new MOC (HAH 2.0). No idea what to believe anymore.

I'm a PHC and our team has not been told that at all, below poster.

Are you all (PHC's) being told by your coach that your job is safe and you will have a job next year? We are told that by ours but not sure what to believe anymore. I'm confused to if we are staying or going. Does anyone know if we are staying?

I am a PHC. And yes, all my CRCM members were also removed from my roster with no warning and no explanation. This is very frustrating. I'm getting exceptionally tired of the lack of respect for the relationships we have with our members.

That is very disturbing. That would break my heart, not being able to say goodbye. Sorry that this happened to you.

I agree . What is your roll ? These members become friends and that is why they trust us so much. That is why we are so effective managing their health needs with them
