Thread regarding L3 Technologies layoffs

Let's clean house at L3

MV's team needs to be reviewed and a decision made on their judgement for making decesions, (caustic environment where making a decision could cost you your job so don't make a decision) NYC has to see they have a bigger issue than just some small sites, it's the mgt team that promised to save the day, sell or lay them off and bring in some professionals from Lockheed to do it right, might even save a few bucks in the mean time by not paying for their bonus's and high salaries. Whats with Rockwall, why do we still have that there eating up dough? What value does that give L3, except that friends and family members work there, move them all to Waco, there is office space there.

Agreed, @PpRkjhA-4yxd, especially about Rockwall. L3 needs to clean house desperately. However, as it always is, they will lay off good people the company actually needs, and leave the dead weight to continue to mooch of other people's work.

What confuses me is the fact that there was no guidance from anyone, NYC or Greenville that explained the purpose for the RIF. Additionally, to target direct charge positions charging to a government contract doesn't make sense. If you want to increase corporate margins, you decrease indirect, not direct positions. You actually lose base and sales by reducing direct positions. Not to mention eliminate for 12 months positions that were supporting critical operations overseas.

Feel for everyone in Waco but advocating firing people in Rockwall seems harsh, ComCept is based there and is a separate division and isn't eating anyone else dough but generating there own dough.

Has anyone seen their 2018 benefits package yet? Seen the cost?

The race to the bottom has begun.
