Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Verizon Millennials

Oh, Verizon Millennials - They are so naive and live in a fantasy world thinking they are an all-star and have a sense of entitlement. It's painful to watch, it's almost insulting...

My two unsolicited cents: If you are doing better then your co-workers then your manager will recognize it unless they hate you. If you feel like you are not appreciated, then you should pursue other opportunities outside the company.

Had to vent, I love you but you drive me nuts sometimes.

@4dyj, read your own post.

Then, read it from the point of view of someone that's not in your head, and see if it still would make sense to that someone else.

There are no Millennials in Core. So I have no idea what this post is about. Also if you mean people in their 40's who are managers and that are younger than, and have never done the job that the older workers have. Then you got me.

"You're only hating on millennials because youre threatened by them." - @2cqh

I'm not the author of the post you're responding to, so I got no beef with you or, for that matter, millennials in general. Some of my best offspring, and nieces & nephews are millennials, as well as some of the entertainers in film, and those on the music scene, that I like best.

But your comment makes no sense. I hate cockroaches and spiders, but I'm not threatened by them.
I hate the ta----n, but I'm not threatened by them.
I hate child molesters, but I'm not threatened by them.

Your logic is illogical. You can hate something that poses no threat to you.

@nsk and remaining millennials-another guarantee, your a$$es won't be at VZ till you're 50...the brains of the company are long gone to better companies. It happens to everyone eventually when they're done using you. This generation you speak of had the good days...it's downhill from here.

Millennials are a waste. Cry complain need safe rooms can’t deal with conflict. What we need to to go to war. They will draft you before they would draft me. Bye Felicia.

Funny guy. I know I struck a nerve. You guys are so much the same thinking you're so entitled and so better than Millennials when in reality in many situations I'd rather work with one of them than one of you. And no, I don't work in a store.

@zkw

You work for Verizon and you're not union...so you must work in a store. Geez, how stupid are you millennials? Having a family doesn't make people crybabies...but living home with mommie when you should've left the nest years ago does. Cut the cord! Get off of mommies tit! You couldn't handle my job. Hard work, responsibility and working well with others are a requirement. Co-workers would shut that whining crybaby sh!t down real fast.

What makes you think I work in a store? You are paid for what you do, and if that involves working outside, then it does. That's part of the job. It doesn't give you some special dispensation to disrespect those who choose to work in other areas of the company. Just because you have a family doesn't give people the right to disrespect those that don't have one.

I have witnessed enough whining by those who feel entitled because of their years of service or because they work with their hands or because they are in the union and therefore exempt from normal rules of social behavior or because they know someone and have a get out of jail free card or maybe they figure they are just better than someone else for some reason. Here's a newsflash. You're not that special. Your crying drives us as nuts as the crying of our children when things aren't going their way. It's just that most kids eventually grow up.

@amx

People who've worked hard to get where they are at are not whiners...people who have a dead end job like you and are jealous of the hard workers are!! We are no different waiting for an eisp before we retire as the people in wireless waiting for a rif or a severance package. One big difference is that a lot of us work outside in the heat and freezing cold while you sit in a store trying to sell people stuff that they don't need. You are a whining little parasite!

Having a house, family and job doesn't make their whining any less unbearable. Nothing worse than grown men acting like the bunch of crybabies that they are. For them, real life has just become a continuation of high school but instead of following their peers in the classroom now they follow their peers in the union or in the office. Bunch of entitled crybabies who have the gall to think they are any better than the newest generation of workers. Yeah you have a family, but your poor wives get to suffer the consequences of marrying the big guy on the high school or college campus who just never quite grew up

Talk about entitled crybabies, baby boomers who boo hoo if they don't get their union-mandated break or have to work too hard on a Friday afternoon. Please.

At least they have a job house and family. They don’t expect someone to take care of them. They don’t cry over the election and act like a spoiled b--ch.

No the snowflakes need to melt away. No one owes you anything. You work for what you have not expect it to be given to you. You pay for your college education not expect your neighbor to pay your way because they have money. This is the most worthless generation ever. A bunch of babies that cry over everything living in their parents basements.

It's bitter because this generation has no respect for others and we're coddled their entire lives. Just mention the word union or eisp and they lose their minds....because it's something they want but don't want to work for it. Jealousy, hate and entitlement is their legacy.

The millennials have a "I want it now" attitude. No work ethic, no patience, no respect. They never set goals and work hard to get there....they believe that they are owed. I believe it is a lack of discipline...when we did wrong, we were beaten....they were told to take a "time out". The only way to de-pussify them is to make it mandatory for everyone to serve in the military for three years after graduating high school....NO EXCEPTIONS!!
