I've only been with the company as the overnight team lead for a little under two years and I am really starting to get worried to whether or not I will still have a job in the future here with all of these cuts. I am afraid that since I haven't been with the company that long I will be one of the first ones they get rid of. I have a family and bills to worry about and it angers me that this company just doesn't care anymore.

I agree you are likely safe being a short timer.....we long timers have bills too.....in many cases we have sacrificed a lot over the years and ate a lot of p--p in order to keep jibs with benefits and decent pay.......we have known for a long time that the executives see us as a cancer........one of the early attacks on us was to change the profit sharing program so it is nearly impossible to retire from Sam's........then over the years thry have either nit picked the older ones til they left or did away with their jobs and offered them nothing.........I am one of few left ......waiting for the last shoe to drop........20 years invested.....no respect and no appreciation......the ones making these decisions mostly will be all gone in five years .....off to other companies making millions there.......leaving us hungry........they do not care......it is all about filling their own pockets....................respect for the individual.................hahahahahahha..............what a joke................
2yrs...you're probably safe. This is definitely not a last in first out situation. Your position could possibly involve shift changes so you may need to be flexible.
