Numero Uno Stooge has tiny stooges reposting his inspirational visions several times a day on social media. Example here.

https://blogs.oracle.com/startup/larry-ellison-goes-face-to-face-with-founders-from-oracle-for-startups

How many of you who build his database and cloud ever get invited over to see LE pad and drink good wine? Right because nobody cares about you. You are not the future. The poor chumps in the startups think he is AWESOME. Was one good guy in that org and sadly he is gone.

Famous quote of LE saying of Gates, he thinks he is Edison, wealth does not mean you are smart. Paraphrased.
Well LE you SURE were right being rich does NOT mean you were smart. Just in right place right time and greedy.

"Look at the attrition level at FB, GOOG, AMZN and APPL - it is significantly lower than here."

I recall seeing an article that show those guys have large attrition rates too. Not saying that they s--- as bad as ORCL, just that Millennials don't stay put like "olds" do.

"Needless to say, the aforementioned companies have like zero messages here - tells you a story don't it."

Being that they are growing, I wouldn't expect them to have layoffs. MSFT didn't have layoffs when it was growing. Millennials understand this, hence why they change jobs every two years. They understand that there is no longer such a thing as a long term career with a single employer (unless you work for .gov). Wherever you are, it's just a job. And while you won't find layoff stories for them, you will find stories of people leaving on their own.

Just sayin'

The article is so full of sh--. The author is on a perpetual scholar grant by Larry. It's an advertising piece for Larry without any hard data to back up claims - it's an opinion piece.

But, but, but LE recently said that we'll be using Macs from now on. That has to count for something, right?

Wow!

Stunningly, these bosses all treated their employees the way millennials want to be treated, offering them personal and customised coaching, tremendous advancement opportunities, creative freedom, collaborative learning opportunities, and ultimately, the chance to do meaningful work. Ambitious employees want to have a chance to make a difference, and superbosses allow them to do just that.

This description is the absolute opposite of everything Oracle is. There is no coaching at Oracle. No advancement at all. Certainly no creative freedom.... you can't do anything that might show up one of the narcissistic weirdos in management. Certainly no meaningful work, just clueless directors making up busy-work tasks because they have no idea what they are doing.

There some ambitious employees, but they are swiftly attacked, so they leave.

This article is total crap with respect to Oracle. Fake news.

Back when Oracle was a hot company, it was said that the standard was too hire people that were "the best" or smarter than yourself. I'll actually grant that this happened sometimes. After all, Oracle alumni like Tom Siebel and Marc Benioff went on to found successful companies of their own.

What I won't believe is that Oracle heavily invested in it's employees. Siebel and Benioff left Oracle specifically because they were constrained and because LE wouldn't invest in them or their vision. LE that a track record of this -- people leave or are fired because of his need to be the only one in control. Even when he "stepped down" from the CEO role, he took the chairman of the board spot and stepped into the CTO role (with direct control of the core of the company).

The only thing that Oracle seems to "develop" is over-confident, controlling narcissists. The only thing Oracle really focuses on is finding ways to manipulate the stock price upward because it is where LE has the majority of his wealth and seems to be where he derives his sense of importance and self-worth.
