H1B program is a big failure since instead of bringing in the best and brightest engineering and research minds around the world, it has a become political apparatus to get low skilled workers with cheap salary.
Like they say, if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys...If USA want elephants from abroad, US has to find another way. Not H1B.
H1B debate is also leading to giving mass citizenship to even more un skilled worker who are burdens on skilled works. Good old days of collecting your social security after retirement is pretty much over. Mass unskilled workers are the voter base of democrats. Make sure you have skills to work after you retire to support your unskilled fellow citizens. US is slowly going to become a third world dump.
