Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

October layoffs

There are several threads about this but they become inactive so quickly. I'm bringing it back now that we're in October.

Has anyone heard new info and or signs that wireless will see layoffs this month? There is writing on the wall almost everywhere... quotas, dividends, intense budget cuts, retail remodels put on hold, etc.

Insane how much censorship is in this site. Perhaps the layoff.com is attempting to be a provocateur. Too bad for them the rack and file didn’t file for it.

WOW - there are a lot of immature people and/or trolls on this board. If you don't like the content then don't come here. Maybe what you can't see value in, someone else can.

Why can't people just answer the questions without all the drama! It's getting old.....

I am sure I will get backlash for this comment but I really don't care.

@1qao "There is more than one of us union turd. That's because you need to shut the fu© up and leave. Piss off." is quite rational?

There is a lot of talk from the wireless side about rifs and severance packages...2 weeks pay for every year, etc. If you wireless a-holes don't like it, just leave without a severance....that's what your telling the wireline side to do. If you guys had the balls to join a union, you'd be getting an eisp offer now and then also. You'd have to be pretty stupid to see an eisp coming out every year or so for the past 15 years and decide to leave without one. Waiting a year or two for the next one is the smart thing to do, and whether you admit it or not, you'd do the same thing. Faaaaace.

1lok is right. All the whining because they want to be paid to leave. They always want something for nothing like it is owed to them. That's pretty much the definition of entitlement. And yet they complain about the foreigners who "take" their jobs. Verizon is right to get rid of most of them.

C'mon, you gotta make it easy for the Millennials and hold their hand through this trying process.

They expect everything handed to them without effort, so I will abide:

I also left a note where you'll see it, on your parents fridge.

This wireless stuff's becoming a big yawn.

Why not take your quotas, your HUMS, your commissions, and your October layoff rumors to thelayoff.com section reserved for Wireless?
